Free AI A/B headline comparison
Free AI Headline A/B Tester FREE
Compare two marketing headlines side by side: clarity, specificity, audience relevance, readability and credibility, plus possible misunderstandings and an improved version of each. Free, no sign-up.
What the Headline Tester checks
A headline has about a second to make someone stop. This tool compares two versions the way a careful copy editor would: is it clear, is it specific, does it speak to the audience, is it easy to read, and is it believable? It also flags how each one could be misread.
How to use it
- Paste two headlines that you’re choosing between.
- Add what you’re advertising and who it’s for (optional, but it makes the comparison more useful).
- Press “Compare headlines” and review the side-by-side table, the improved versions and the overall preference.
Example
“Your lunch break, upgraded” vs “Free drink with any bowl this week”: the first is memorable but vague about what’s offered. The second is specific and has a clear reason to act now, but may read as a discount-only message. (Illustrative example.)
Tips for a fair comparison
- Change one thing at a time (the benefit, the offer or the tone) so you know what made the difference.
- Don’t add claims you can’t prove. The tool won’t add new claims to its suggestions either.
- Use the stronger version in a small real ad test before spending your full budget.
Limits
This is an AI evaluation of wording, not a real-world A/B experiment. It doesn’t predict click-through rates, conversions or sales.

Frequently asked questions
Does this predict which ad will get more clicks?
No. It compares the wording of two headlines on clarity, specificity, relevance, readability and credibility. Real click-through and conversion depend on the platform, audience, budget and timing, so confirm with a real A/B test.
Is it free?
Yes, no card needed. 5 uses a day across all free tools without an account, 15 a day with a free account.
What can I compare?
Ad headlines, landing page headlines, email subject lines, taglines or one-line pitches. Add what you’re advertising and the audience for a more relevant comparison.
What if the result is “inconclusive”?
That means the two are close, or it depends on information the tool doesn’t have. Test both for real, or rewrite them so they differ more clearly.
Are my headlines stored?
No. They’re sent to the AI to compare and aren’t saved by SellTo.us.
