Prices in USD, one-time, paid securely with Stripe. Bigger tests add more audience groups, versions and planning detail; they are still AI-simulated reactions, not a more accurate forecast (how it works). The free snapshot usually takes a few minutes; paid tests about 10 to 12 minutes for 1,000 participants, 14 to 16 for 10,000 and 22 to 28 for 100,000 (up to 24 hours when the AI service is very busy). We email you when your report is ready. Unused one-time tests can be refunded within 30 days; finished tests can’t be refunded (terms). Customers who already have a monthly plan keep it on the same terms.
Questions? Answers.
Are these real people?
No. Each participant is an AI persona with a realistic age, job, budget and habits. Their answers are simulated reactions, such as simulated interest, willingness to try or purchase intent: a fast read on how people like these might react. It is not real customer data and not a forecast of sign-ups, sales or success. See exactly how it works.
How accurate is it?
We haven’t measured it against real sales, so we don’t claim an accuracy number. Use it to spot things people might stumble on, like a confusing pitch, a price that feels high or a missing reason to trust you. Then confirm with real people: every report ends with suggested validation steps. Read the limits.
Why not just ask ChatGPT?
You can, and a chat is great for brainstorming. SellTo.us runs a structured test instead: our code builds a fixed crowd of simulated participants from audience groups that fit your audience, every one of them answers buy, maybe or no for each version, and the report counts those answers. Every version and image is shown to the same simulated people, so comparisons are like for like. You get results by audience group, objections with keyword counts, a rewritten pitch, a re-test of your improved version on the very same simulated people (same test size), numbers checked by code, and a PDF you can share. It is still AI imagining how people might react, not real customers, so use it as a fast first check.
What can I test?
Startup and business ideas, apps and software, services and subscriptions, physical products, ads and marketing concepts, prices and business models. Pick what you’re testing and the AI-simulated participants answer in the way that fits it: would they be interested, try it, consider it, buy it or respond to the ad. Describe it in plain words; a price, images, a finished product or a website are all optional. Add images if you like: 1 with a 1,000-participant test, up to 3 with 10,000 and up to 5 with 100,000.
Is my idea kept private?
Your tests are private to your account. We don’t share or publish what you upload.
Can I choose the audience?
Yes. Pick any country and city, then add up to 10 audience groups: ages, jobs, interests or habits. Start typing and we’ll suggest some, or write your own, like “moms in Burbank who shop at Target.”
Can I get free tests by inviting friends?
Yes. Every account has an invite link. When a friend who signed up with it makes their first purchase, you get a free Quick Check (1,000 participants). Up to 10 every 30 days.
Is there a subscription?
No. Tests are one-time purchases: $19, $49 or $149, and tests you buy don’t expire while your account is open. Customers who already have a monthly plan keep it on the same terms until they cancel.
Can I test photos, screenshots or ad images?
Yes. Add 1 image with a 1,000-participant test, up to 3 with 10,000 and up to 5 with 100,000: product photos, app screenshots, mockups or ad images. With 2 or more, every participant picks the one they respond to most. Your report shows the winning image, the votes for each one, which groups prefer which image and which one to use in each ad.
What’s the ad targeting guide?
10,000 and 100,000-participant tests turn the results into a plan you can paste into Meta (Instagram and Facebook), TikTok and Google ads: who to target (ages, interests, behaviors), where to show the ads, the message for each audience, how to split your budget, who to leave out, Google search keywords and a step-by-step plan for your first 2 weeks. The 100,000 test also tells you which cities to start in. It’s in your report and in the PDF, so you can hand it to whoever runs your ads.
What’s in the PDF report?
Every paid test comes with a detailed PDF (the free snapshot is a short on-screen result) that starts with a one-page decision brief: the overall call (promising, mixed or weak), what’s holding the idea back, ranked by fixed rules from the counted answers, what to improve first and your next decision. Then the results by audience group, the reasons behind yes and no, quoted answers from AI-simulated participants, validation experiments and a checklist. The $49 test adds a decision matrix for its versions, an image vote and an ad targeting guide; the $149 test adds results by city, a launch-readiness view and a 30-day validation roadmap. Every number is labeled as a simulated result and every recommendation as an AI hypothesis to test with real people.
